8633: Sichuan Airlines Flight 8633 was an A319-100 with the tail number B-6419 that had to make an emergency landing at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport while on its way to Lhasa because of explosive decompression owing to the windshield blowing out. Everyone on board survived, despite the first officer being partly sucked out of the plane. The grand total of injuries was facial abrasions, a minor eye injury, and a sprained wrist for said first officer and a sprained wrist for a cabin attendant. The root cause of the accident was eventually revealed to be damaged sealing of the windshield that allowed water to penetrate into it, weakening the panes over time until they could no longer stand the pressure difference between inside and outside the cockpit and went BOOM.
