The grand total of injuries was facial abrasions, a minor eye injury, and a sprained wrist for said first officer and a sprained wrist for a cabin attendant. The root cause of the accident was eventually revealed to be damaged sealing of the windshield that allowed water to penetrate into it, weakening the panes over time until they could no longer stand the pressure difference between inside and outside the cockpit and went BOOM.
